The main goal of this reconstruction for us was to integrate the large existing volume of the residence into the surrounding environment so as to improve the sense of its size and the overall perception of the building.
The residense is situated on a central axis of the suburb and emerges through a small park with tall trees.
In our architectural intervention, we propose a metal thread (claustra) with designed tree trunks covering the facade of the house.
Designed as a shade of the park’s trees on the building, it is used to multiply the natural environment on the building’s facade.
Through the gaps of the lattice construction, the eastern light penetrates into the interior space of the residence.
This element functions as a privacy filter for the residence. It reduces the building’s volume and offers a contemporary character to it.
